The first thing you should do when you are preparing your journey toward weight loss is to calm down. If you have the mindset that you will never lose weight, chances are that you will fulfill that prophecy due to you constantly badgering yourself about your inability to lose weight. Remember to stay calm even on periods of weight loss plateaus because these are just periods were you are toning up and still attempting to lose weight. Plateaus are not bad- they just mean you need to kick up your exercise routine up a notch to be harder on your body. You can also try to discipline your mind via meditation, as that helps many people focus on their goals and relax during the actual process.
